oh no…did they give you some refreshments after donating blood? :/ bring water and some form of sugar with you just in case.
yes they did, they gave me tea with probably 5 tea spoons of sugar (lol) and lots of water, and chocolate and candy with eatable blood (sounds yucky, but it’s actually really nice) :) all went well though, safe and sound at my parents, where my mom bought me red wine and other stuff to get me feel alive again, lolol
Yeah, you have to keep your blood sugar up before and after donating. You should be fine now though. :) just keep it easy. It’s not uncommon to feel light headed after donating.
yeah, i guess, it’s not everyday you lose 450ml of blood. and the doctor said giving blood is not recommended to girls, especially in spring. for obvious reasons, lol

I gave blood to the National Blood Bank yesterday, because I was feeling philanthropic (lol) and the first passing out was when I was still with them, but then I went outside and when I was walking (alone, if I may add) to the bus stop, I felt that I was going to faint again, so I ran past the red light to the bus stop, found a man, told him what was probably going to happen and the next thing I knew I woke up with three people holding me and calling the ambulance. Niiiice, right? And now I have this fear it will happen again, because it’s hot today and I have to go to the bus station to travel to my parents and the buses are usually with no air. Ugh.
